THINGS TO DO

There are so many things to do and places to visit, as well as some wonderful events in Dorset near to Plumber Manor. However, our own beautiful gardens are an attraction in themselves. Magnificent trees, a large, sloping lawn, a white bridge over Divelish Stream (good for Pooh Sticks), a pretty tributary of the River Stour that runs through the peaceful and secluded grounds, and the pig sculptures. In spring, the colours can be riotous and the birdsong symphonic! In summer, guests love to recline in deck chairs scattered about the well-manicured lawns, listening to the birds, the breeze in the trees, the trickling of the river; pure therapy. The quintessential English country house garden.

We have a hard tennis court (with racquets and balls) and a croquet lawn. Golf, fishing, clay pigeon shooting and quad bikes can be arranged nearby. Advance notice is required please on these additional activities.
