Our Rooms

So comfortable is the country house accommodation at Plumber Manor that you will feel as though you’re staying with friends.

In the main house, the luxury accommodation comprises six very comfortable bedrooms approached via an impressive yet charming gallery, hung with family portraits, typical of fine Jacobean houses of the period.

The view from these rooms overlooks the lovely gardens and surrounding Dorset countryside.

A further ten extremely spacious rooms, some with window seats overlooking the river and garden, are in the beautifully restored natural stone barn that surrounds the topiary courtyard. Four of these splendid rooms have access to car parking behind and welcome guests with dogs. Two of the courtyard rooms also have access for the less able.

Home-made shortbread biscuits and tea and coffee facilities will be waiting for you in your room, as well as everything else you would expect of a fine Dorset country house hotel (including TV, phone, hair-dryer and Wi-Fi).

“Everything was perfect and so many of our guests praised the location”

Smaller Double

These are two very pretty, cosy rooms, each with a window seat overlooking the lovely gardens. Part of the delight of these rooms is that they are off the spacious, period gallery at the top of the impressive staircase in the main house.

Standard Double/Twin

These two delightfully large, classic rooms are also in the main house off the spacious, period gallery at the top of the impressive staircase. One of the rooms has an ensuite bathroom and the other has a large, entirely private bathroom with a huge Victorian bath.

Superior Double/Twin

All of these very, very large rooms have ensuite bathrooms with baths and showers. They are ideal for families with small children. Two are in the main house, off the spacious, period gallery at the top of the impressive staircase, and have their gloriously large Victorian baths. The remaining ten rooms surround our splendid topiary courtyard. Four of these rooms have access to car parking behind and so dogs are allowed. Two of these rooms have wheelchair access and aids in the bathroom and are on the level.
